1999 chevy silverado windows

I really like the vehicle but from what I have read on the GM truck products in this era the design of the lifting mechanism is crappy.

I had just bought the truck about 6 months before new. All of a sudden my window doesn't want to go back up. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced the windows electric motor. Haven't had a problem with it since. If you have a for-profit service, contact us. Ask your Chevrolet dealer. Most Common Solutions: replaced the motor for the window 2 reports not sure 1 reports.

Good luck. I'd check to make sure the switch is plugged in all the way. My passenger window slowly stopped working, then I pulled the switch panel off, and the thing wasn't plugged in all the way.

As for how to get the panel off, this should help never knew how handy these pictures would be. I am glad I am not the only one with a demonic '01!! I have been lazy, my son just makes his buddies ride on that side.

If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. Ensure left front window switch on master switch assembly is in neutral position. Connect a test light between battery voltage and master switch assembly connector C1 terminal "M" Black wire.

If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6. Connect master switch assembly connectors C1 and C2. Disconnect left power window motor connector. Ensure ignition switch is in RUN position. Connect a test light between left power window motor connector terminals "A" Dark Blue wire and "B" Brown wire. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step.

If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 7. Replace left power window motor. Repair open in Black wire between ground connection G and master switch assembly connector C1 terminal "M".
